Crossways Village Hall is the home to many of the village's
organisations, and boasts a large hall complete with stage and changing
rooms and a skittle alley, a smaller room which is used daily during
term-time for Crossways Playgroup, plus a well-fitted kitchen and
cloakrooms.
The building was originally one of the buildings used during World War II on
RAF Warmwell as the NAAFI, gymnasium and cinema (see
Local History). It is currently in private
ownership, and leased to the hall's management committee on very generous
terms, for which the village remains grateful. The committee do an
excellent job in maintaining the fabric of the building to a very high
standard.
There is a pay phone in the hall, which may be used to contact someone known
to be in the hall (01305 853466).
To
enquire about booking the hall, please e-mail the
Secretary of the Hall Management Committee. |
