Parish Council

The Parish Council meets at least once each month (except for summer and Christmas breaks).

There are 11 councillors including the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Vice-Chairman (Finance) .  Each councillor is elected to serve for up to 4 years until the next Parish Council elections which will be held in Spring 2011.  At the last election, there were insufficient candidates to hold an election, and so those who did stand were returned unopposed.   

Each meeting of the council is preceded by a period in which members of the public are invited to address the council on matters of concern, in addition to hearing reports from:

• The County Councillor for the area and the two District Councillors.

• The local police

• School governors
